An Ode To All

It wasn’t so much that dreams were made
More that in them the stone was laid
And in that stone you are etched in me
Along with this perfect memory
Of hearts and souls linked in hope of such
The truth wrapped inside poetic touch
And in my dreams you all reside in this
A haven of light held in poet’s bliss

It’s not that you all gifted me with light
More that the touch of each was pure delight
And in that touch I felt your wisdom rise
Which covers my soul with this gifted prize
That from your souls I gained so much
The knowledge of wisdom in poet’s touch
You flow within the very soul of me
And I’ll hold tight to the precious memory

It wasn’t so much what I learnt from this
That truth and love reside in poet’s kiss
That each of you gave me your heart is true
But I left a piece of me with all of you
That might seem a poor deal to some
But the truth is I’ve made of this sum
A better brighter totality
Than existed before I added your memory

To those I met who gifted me with this
I send to you now this my poetic kiss

Marsha

With special love to those who were PiPITIS

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Marsha,
Someday. Wish I could have been there too. Nice gifts you exchanged indeed. Including this.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

it isn't so much - but it was more than enough and this sentimental poem shows it.

Hi Marsha,

I lost all of my heart back there, but I must say the one I got in return suits me much better.
So nice to see you, means that you had a safe flight back to coooold England.

Beautiful poem you wrote here

Love and hugs, Titia

Like scattered leaves...my words will flow

Marsha this is absolutely gorgeous writing and it speaks of your heart so profoundly.  I wish I could have been there, but through your eyes we can visit that home of poets.  Well done.

If I have touched one heart through my words, then I have acheived my dream...

I know I got my very own wonderful ode. *S* But I still wish I could have been part of this "all". *S* Wonderful work, Marsha!
