somebody's dungeon

In room, dark wood of yesteryear
when things were made with crafted
skill, the sewing machine in cabinet
with teddy bear lace atop.

In the middle, metal scuptured lamp
small candle flame within, beaded shade
for shadow play upon geometric turn
of wall.

Plant of deep forest green, in wicker
soft tone of brown, on teddy bear lace.
Photo album of life preserved, endured
endeared to me with painful, yet
loving picture show.

Deep cherry box, carved for whom
I'm not sure, but gifted me
filled with vanilla tea lights,
placed in perfect symmetry with globe
of darkened red, that also burns
with fire.

A small corner of life only.
Minute, perhaps mundane.
But still, a small corner
of the life that is mine.

This is a treasure of small treasures!

A vignette of that which I would love to read more!

(smiles) Oh Anne, I believe we all have special places where home is where the heart is and you speak of your special neck of the wood so wonderfully! (kiss on cheek) I think this would make a wonderful poetic challenge for us all to write of our "corner", you should announce it, yay, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
