Breaks over orange-red leaves
Straight to Poplar trees
Sprinkling
Bright whites
Laughing

Robert,
what a delightful piece, almost like a leaf falling softly.

Robert, this is a lovely first post with the colors you've painted here of Autumn. WELCOME   TO   PASSIONS   IN   POETRY!!!!! I hope that you like it here as much as I have these past few weeks (almost a month, now). I think you will. I can kind of tell it in your poem and your little comment about the "Constructive  Critiques" where your name is......"I am used to a D-grade". Seriousness with a bit of humor. Anyway, I am looking forward to more of your work.
Love To All,
Ethel....garysgirl

Welcome to Passions! Your new home away from home!

I am a Leo, astrologically speaking, so your title "Sun" caught my attention!

Your poem is delightful--and it was about one of my other favorite things--poplar trees. When I was growing up, we had a stand of poplar trees in our back yard and I loved to see the play of the sun and the summer breezes through their leaves.

I'm sure you will be as happy here among kindred spirits as I have been!

Enjoyed this powerful little poem. Powerful images make this poem a special one. Nice to see fresh, new work.  Believe me, you will find no one here who is not gifted in some way...the poets here are all out-standing. Welcome!!!!  Ivy Rose
