Never even saw it coming, snuck right by my practiced eye.
Absent-mindedly was humming to myself, when let it fly!
Yes, I should have known much better, after all it's nothing new,
sooner, later, gonna get'er right between the eyes
with "Foo"!

How's he "doo" it, one must wonder, when he leads a "Foo" of us,
into traps from which we blunder, having missed the freaking bus!
Who's this guy with pointed barb that leads us to his pundits' lair?
Too late do we ascertain the truth
it simply isn't fair!

Thought provoking (what's he smoking?) in that Sherlock Holmes style pipe?
Leave 'em laughin', gigglin', chokin', man, his stuff is pretty ripe!
Serious, sophisticated, scandalous, and silly too,
Simply "Balladelirious", no other phrase will just quite do!

Yes, but because Balladeer's writing can be "pretty ripe" (and delightfully so) I feel that it should be read 'moosely' by adults. We wouldn't want the younger generation being warped by his bright, witty and hysterically funny forms of humor!

As to your poem, dear doctor, you can add your name to the list of PIPs punny pundits!

Doc, I agree with Linda, just add your name along with Mr. Toe...Mr. Balladeer....and all the rest of those  crazy, funny guys, who keep us laughing. This is good, Mr. Doc. Thanks for sharing your humor.

Love to All,
Ethel

Doc,
Seems you got that exactly right.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Well, lookee here. What do I see
On  this big screen in front of me?
A new word coined by Dr. Moose
That sounds right out of Dr. Zeuss!!

Yes, I admit that it is true
I studied hard to learn King Foo.
I learned the moves and learned the style
To use my Foo to make folks smile.

I learned Egg Foo when I was Yung
And never left a joke unsung.
Foosball was my favorite sport
Along with making wise retorts.

I thank you, Doc, for this new word
Spurred on by my small foo bird
And if I made you smile a bit
It's all worthwhile..and I mean it.

Balladeer,
(May the last come first) For you I have a project in mind, should you be so willing. I will e-mail you the particulars to see if you are interested. I think this might be fun, but the final decision is up to you.
Thanks .
Doc

Sunshine,
A "new" word, and or phrase, as might go down in history, possibly even make it in to "The Big Book".
As poets, Oh! how hard we strive, to tell that which makes us alive,
when in a very simple turn, might recognition yet be earned. Never mind me , just more of my babbling, however thanks.
Doc

WhiteRose,
Thank you, It could be that you are right,
for some reason Balladeer and I have not yet locked horns. I would prefer to think it is discretion on both of our parts, but my preference may have little to do with the facts.
Doc

Earth Angel,
Yes, we must protect those innocent ears
from repitition of what they have already learned , and then some! Thanks.
Doc

garysgirl,
Well, thank you, then I would find mysaelf in the best company that one could hope for.
However, I don't think I have earned that right yet. I say this honestly. These guys have been the corner-stones of this site for as long as I've been here. The fact that there isn't one of them that can write decent poetry aside, they definitely deserve their recognition.
Doc

Larry C.
Thanks buddy, I may have stepped in it here,
but that's alright, strong back, weak mind,
looking for to just un-wind.
Doc

Sy,
Open mouth and insert foot
could be that way but, toot toot,
I won't go until I'm made
hopin' for a big parade !
Doc
