A Long Ways From Town
~ By Sue ~

Without a street address
How do I begin to tell
Someone how to get here
I am afraid that I would fail

We live way out on the highway
A long long ways from town
If I were to ever get lost
I am afraid I would never be found

Now, since my car broke down
I am filled with so many fears
Sometimes it worries me so much
I nearly break down into tears

This fear I feel inside of me
Is something I just will not show
With no friends here close by
There is no place for me to go

Sue, I love the way you wrote this. You are such a talented poet. I live in the country, so I can relate to this. But, I don't live as far out as I did when my husband was living. My house we lived in is still there, but when he died my friends sort of took me in and won't let me move back there now. I don't want to, either. My electricity is still on over there, but it's kind of like a storage house now since no-one lives there all the time. My daughter (an only child) lives in Massachusetts, and I don't want to move way up there. There are some good memories at my house, but also some very bad ones. He died in 1997, and I didn't live there all the time but for about a year after he died.
Now, I have no idea why I said all that. I guess I just thought you might understand. Thanks for sharing your heart, dear Sue.
Love To All,
Ethel

This really emphasizes the value of friends...not sure if I spelled that right...James

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Sue, my heart goes out to you, I hope soon you can find a way to travel from there and be closer to an area where at least the roads can help your friends connect to where they can visit you! (sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, hang in there, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Sue, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton
