BLENDING

lover mine, unyielding stare
I see me, bare
inside your eyes,
and so like
the fragile pine
I bend into
the word-winds
of your mind

while there I sway,
I dance, I play,
I reel,
perchance to feel
permissive hush,
the blush, the rush,
the need,
the blending seed

lover mine, come the day
before I'm swept away,
one breath to share
one wind to wear
and perhaps,
if only for a while
you will stay
