“DANCING SHOES”
by
Bill Charles
~~~~
I was just drifting and juking,
as I skipped down the street…
Wondering what I would find,
maybe something really sweet…
My feet were perpetual motion,
had on my magic dancing shoes…
Was floating like a butterfly,
something I couldn’t defuse…
Heard that musical rhythm,
what else but, need I say…
It was that slow bluesy stuff,
sexy melody, from the alleyway…
Found you there feeling the same,
once touched we started to groove…
It must come from inside the soul,
you’ll feel it, when we start to move…
BC, I've got to get myself some of those magic shoes!  I want to hear your music.
This is great ... hugs, Marti
Bill...Such a light, airy feel to this. It makes me want to put my dancing shoes on and dance my way through the day.  As always...an uplifting, romanticly inclined poem.  Enjoyed this very much. ***Ivy Rose
Bill, I liked this poem. I could almost see you dancing to that jazzy music.  Keep dancing, friend. Thanks for sharing.
Bill
If you feel like dancing, then there's a song in your heart.  That's a good thing!
Captivating!
You made me feel like I was right there, experiencing your emotion and energy!
Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.
How delightfully energizing and romantic!
What fun! I know what you're talking about!
---and you wrote it soooo well!
You have lightened my heart on a day when things have been somewhat difficult for me.
But, there will always be something to lift one's spirits, and for me at this moment, it was your poem!
Thank you dear Troubador! Or should I refer to you as dear Fred (Astaire)!
Bill,
I really hope those shoes are a size eleven. Because this boy is in desparate need! Fabulous write. Flowed well and went down real smooth.
If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.
I was just moseying on back and came upon this one.  I like this Bill--  of course I love to dance so it would click for me...  but then again.. who doesn't like dancing.
I liked.
