I Wonder

Help me to understand the reasons why
He seems to get such pleasure of tearing me down
I listen to all of the things he says to me
Most of the time I wish he was no where around

Left with so much more confusion from him
I start to wonder if the things he says are true
The pain I feel inside of me runs way too deep
Whether these things are true I have no clue

No one has ever said the things he says to me
I have heard all of these things for such a long time
For me to think anything different about myself
It seems almost impossible for me to even find

i hope the poem isn't true, if it is leave - that simple.

it is a bit trite but nonetheless interesting view into a certain type of pschye.

I agree with Majnu. Leave, no matter how hard, if you are writing about yourself. There is so much help available now days, than ever before, why aren't you.( getting help ), which may take two or three different therepists until you get the right one. Don't ever give up!

do what you have to do on your own time schedule...I know what you are going through and I know how hard it is to have to start over..I am still trying to get everything settled to free myself...so I do understand Sue

Sue, you wrote a good poem about an awful situation. Mental and emotional abuse cause scars that remain longer than some physical abuse. All abuse is wrong, so you need to plan some way to get away from this person. Good luck to you.

What he has to say isn't even about you. Everything he does is about him. He only cares about himself and not one whit about you. I'm not sure why you stay. But if it's economics work on finding a way. If it's lack of courage...draw from here. If it's lack of confidence...he can't give you any and wouldn't if he had it. This ain't love. Peace and courage to you.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Still hitting on you is he, with nasty words.
That won't change my friend, unless you make it change, by leaving. I know that's easier said than done, but you have to make a decission one way or the other and it will always be the wrong moment.

Have faith in yourself Sue, you're a wonderful gifted lady, don't listen if he says otherwise, you know he's not telling the truth, he's yelling at his own frustrations using you as his sounding board.

You Sue, are the only one that can make things change.
