I am fighting a need to run.
away from my troubles
away from my friends
away from my hate
away from my wants
away from my pain
away from my guilt
away from my life

keep fighting... you can't run from any of it it will just chase you down and catch you no matter how long or fast you run..

better to find a way to deal with them and change the parts you don't like...

There is nowhere to run or hide that your life will not find you so sometimes it is better to stand and fight. Powerful expression of anxiety.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

If you are speaking of yourself, my heart goes out to you, but........

in this day and age there are thousands of support groups available. Find one whose members can relate to exactly what you are going through; a quick web search is all it takes. You will be amazed the pressure it takes off you. Taking a good hard look at ourselves and learning what to do about 'us' and not 'them' is the beginning of a new way of living. A simple solution to the guilty part is a simple "Will you forgive me, I am sorry", from the bottom of your heart. They may or may not, but, it will cleanse your soul, freeing up your energy. Get new friends. Take care of your needs first, your wants will come later. Go ahead and hate, but do one loving thing today for someone else, if only to make someone smile.

Get out of self and into others.....
Don't know  if you are a teen, but, if so, did you know this is the most difficult chapter of your entire life?
It gets better. Hang in there.

With warm regards,
Pat

(big hugggsssssss) Always follow your heart and you will find a way to conquer these demons always, for if you believe hope is always inevitable! (sigh) This is heartfelt, sweet friend, God Bless You, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Liz, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Keep on fighting that urge to run, because those troubles will still be there if you ever decide to go back!---only they may be even bigger!

I find if I take little bites out of big problems, I don't get overwhelmed and I eventually get rid of the problem. That way, I eat the problem instead of it eating me!
Then I start on the next thing that is bothering. I actually make lists of problems, things I want to do and the changes I want to make and I get the biggest thrill out of making grandiose check marks next to my missions once they are accomplished!

I felt, and could understand that kind of frustration that was evident in your writing.

Wind, my heart goes out to you. This is so sad. If this is about you, whatever it is that's making you want to run from your problems can be worked out with God's help. If you will listen to your heart, it will guide you in the right way. Like I said in my two poems about Doubts and Fears, our mind sometimes tells us things that aren't so. We have to let our hearts lead us. Best Wishes.
Love To All,
Ethel

I'm going to play the other side here and let you know that I think running is good sometimes. This may accomplish a few things...a nice vacation, a little free time, another start, and maybe a different perspective to show you that you really didn't have it that bad afterall...just remember that you take the chance of not having anything to run back to. Life is full of risks and surprises. Choose your battles wisely.
