Negative Reality

When mentor winds caress my face
I am lost in a gentle place.
A place of awe a place of store
A place of phantoms living core

A place that opens up a path
A place that soothes me like a bath
A place that baths my angers reap
Placing hazards soft asleep

It is a gentle part of me
A negative reality
A place of seem, a place of dream
A place of daffodils that gleam

Though lilies overtake the field
I make some daffodils still yield.
And thought they are of misty art
Yet still they are in fact a part.

And long as life sweeps through a vein
So long shall dreams in me remain.

Seymour - though I have been warned not to type due to tendonitis in my left arm, I just had to tell you how lovely this morning offering is. Thankyou for this softness. hugs, Chris

Good morning, Mr. T.!

In days of yore
On distant shore
Dwelled Shakespeare
The sonneteer

But here across
The shining sea
We have our own
--our Mr. T.!

And with your words, opens a door
For aching souls and hearts so sore
To find relief within your world...
Seymour, this work's another pearl!
Your negative reality
Describes a place I'd like to be. *S*

Mr. Seymour, dear heart, I hope that "life  sweeps through a vein"  for many, many years to come. For, "So long shall dreams in me remain"....maybe you will see fit to share those  marvelous dreams with all of your "family of friends" here at Passions In Poetry. I certainly do hope so.

Sey, I thoroughly enjoyed the internal
rhyming scheme of this, as well as the
picture of living on the other side of the
fence of reality:  where dreams come alive,
and the spirit can delve into fantasy.
