I'm dry and dusty,
blown away as a tumbleweed,
as a Santa Ana wind
dries up
LA souls and leaves them
parched,
thirsted but never
quenched.
Miraged once again.
Now my deserted heart
hides again,
the Scorpion left
under scorching rock.
No Gibralter in sight.
Did you know some cactus flowers
only blossom once?
I thought Time
was the biggest thief of Life
until I met you.
Best to enjoy the moment,
before it turns
to dust.

Ouch!
Hope all is well. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Thanks big D. Maybe it has an air of reality because I've been that uprooted weed in the past.
I try really hard to not get blown away anymore.

(big hugggsssssss) Oh Kacy, I love this, I especially love the metaphor you used for Gibralter, you are amazing, I wish for this special feeling to last forever for you and not dry up in the dust bowl of sacrifice, I love it, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Kacy, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Midnitesun - I like the way you described the desert, and then the twist at the end. Very nice...

Noah, thank you for your reply, and glad you appreciated the Gibralter reference.
Bill, thanks! I've been working on another similar one, but it is so dry it may blow off the page before posting.
Vandana, thanks!
