MISTER TOE MAN

~~~ *** ~~~
Oh, Mister Toe man,
You thrill me with your lines,
But once the dining's over,
Will you ply me with your wines?
Will you shed your sheep's clothing
And show what's under there,
And make me tremble at the sight
Of your long shaggy hair?
Will your teeth grow long and pointed,
Will your eyes be glowing red,
Will you force your will upon me,
And push me on your bed?
You say you are a gentle man
But how can I be sure,
That you will treat me lovingly
And make this angel purr?
~~~***~~~

Linda,
It is long hair! He is a pussycat! Cute and perfect.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

As the universe spins
To a desolate end
In the Doldrums of Destiny's Sea
So should I accept being
As reasonless as
The firmament's futility
..but here am I holding your hand

As often I've thirsted
So often I've tasted
My fill of love's honey and wine
But in desperate drinking
The savor of loving is lost
And so never was mine
..but here am I  holding your cup

In a garmentless promise
Of nothing we stand
With only the raiment of time
It is ours to endure
Or endear and end up
Embracing whatever we find
..and here am I holding your mind

Alright now. I almost had her convinced you were an incorrigible scamp and ya go and write something like that. Totally unfair.

by the way, I always thought Toe was a sweetie pie too. But I feared the wrath of suthern so I just never said.

Cher ~

So often my poems do end up being like soap operas. I get such a kick out of the replies.
In fact, today I went and bought binders, paper and more cartridges for my printer, because I want to print out all of my poems and the wonderful replies. Whenever, I need to have the smile put on my face, I'll pull out the binders and read them until I'm happy again!

Thank you for adding to them!

Linda, I know, I was so taken aback I had to read it twice.

But seriously, for all his shenanigans and all his playing, he is a gem. Rare and unpolished, but a gem all the same. And I assure you, he will be back tomorrow with more of his Toeriginal humor, without skipping a beat.

Linda, all of you are delighful. This was a really good poem. So was Mr. Toe's poem he sent in his reply to you. I think he should post it, too. Thanks for sharing this humor. I enjoy it, like the others do.

Love to All,
Ethel

Sue ~

Hi, stranger! How have you been?  Things have been going rather well in my life and it has certainly been enriched by my PIP friends. All the emails and responses to my poetry have greatly added to my joy in life.  The are the icing on the cake! One of the other benefits of joining PIP is that I am writing more poetry!--and as Martha Stewart says, "and that's a good thing!"

Your smile is being reflected back to you!

Have a wonderful day!

Ethel ~

Felicitations and congratulations on your 600th posting!

I am honored that it occured during your reply to my poem! You certainly have been a busy little beaver!

I have been addicted to PIP and the Pipsters since I became a member. I have had more time available to me since I am still recovering from a disastrous fall Sept. 13 of last year. Recently I have been slowly but surely been building my practice back up, and since I work out of my home, I am able to pop int PIP between clients.

Again, I commend you on what you have accomplished in a very short time. I love your poetry and your warm and earnest personality. Keep posting and I'll keep reading!

EA: I wrote this several years ago to celebrate his birthday and reposted it on Open 2:

             Toerag

Talented treasure, tantalizing tease,
Thrusts and parries poems with ease,
Thief of my soul, on humor you thrive,
Tongue-fu master, best tush alive!
Terrific teacher, tavern visitor with flair,
Tarnisher of halos extraordinaire.
True and trustworthy, thoroughbred treat,
This tribute give thanks for a friend you cant beat!

Obedient one and only offers her own
Outstanding overachiever this little ode.
Observant, outrageous, always ornamental,
Occasionally offensive, often sentimental -
Ovations abound for your oral techniques.
Optical oasis, you’re a man at his peak.
Occupant of my heart, other half of my soul,
Only one could ever make me whole.

Energetic elegance, enemy of evil
Easygoing educator, earnest and ethical
Exultant eminence of epicurean delights
Enriches our ensemble, endeavors to enlighten
Envy of many, entertaining to all
Exemplary excellence, an emblem to extol
Eloquent, elusive, esteemed escort
Each day that passes, I’m enchanted more.

Rebuked rascal, a ravishing ray,
Roguish and rousing, sometimes risque’.
Revels in laughter, rambunctious reprobate,
Remarkable, responsive, altogether first rate.
Rare and romantic, revered, ready with rhyme,
Resplendent Renaissance man for all time.
Resourceful, reliable, held in highest regard,
Rescuer and refuge, life’s greatest reward.

Anguished angel agonizes still,
Avoids absolving yourself, perhaps always will.
Affectionate attitude we certainly appreciate,
Adamant advocate, accomplished athlete,
Attractive, audacious, aficionado of ale,
Admirers attempt your achievements to no avail.
Amusing, amazing, makes the ladies hearts flutter.
Adorable answer to a prayer unuttered.

Gallant gentleman, generous and good,
Garrulous Galahad, frequently misunderstood.
Gracious and graphic, gregarious gem,
Guffaws of gaiety are given at your whim.
Grand Dad not anxious to be a granddad,
Good-looking, giant-hearted, the best to be had.
God’s greatest gift, glorious to behold.
Gladdens my heart, genuine gold.

In other words... describing the many facets of him might take a while. *G* But simply put, he's the finest man I've ever known. *S*

White Rose: If only everyone was as scared of my baseball bat!!! LOL Hugs, Lady Anne. *S*

Toerag: That poem is incredibly beautiful! *S* Now quit hiding it in a response and post it! *G*

Suthern ~

I agree with you regarding Toe posting his beautiful poem, but may I add that you should repost your poem, "Toerag" as well!

I cannot imagine a tribute poem more heart-warming, witty, loving---and as extremely well written as this one you wrote for your dear friend, Toe.

You truly are a "Suthern Belle" and one fine lady!---and a great dame to boot! hehe

P.S. and very fortunate to have him as a real friend and not just as a cyber friend!

Thank you, ma'am. *S* I know I'm lucky... he is a dear! *S*

And as he reminded me... I'm lucky too that Rainbow Girl gave him the name Toerag... I don't think my limited vocabulary could have handled writing a mega-acrostic like this for him if I'd had to use his previous posting name! LOL

suthern, I have learned over the years to fear a southern woman wielding anything heavier than a wet noodle.

And thank you for reminding me what Toe's long ago handle use to be, I have been beside myself trying for weeks now to remember. Old age sucks!

Your poem by the way, wonderful!

ROFLMAO!!! THAT's the attitude, Rosie! LOL Just remember... all those little holes in the bottom of your boat sure do make your fishing expeditions energy expenditures. *EG*

But c'mon now... *hands on hips*... how could you forget something so important? LOL Senior moments do suck, don't they? *G*
