(just an interesting write that came when I channeled some jealous feelings today into something useful..like poetry)

should have never tried your heart with my love
because you were never mine to have.
You danced here
danced in naked
love in tiny flecks clinging to your face
sparkling with truth in the cupped hands of light
birthed to flashing
while your heart smiled at me from its best angles.
(hiding the more awkward ones)
We were turning there
pressed into intense moments
squandering a fortune of forevers
in too many moments of lust.
should have never tried your heart with my love
because you were never really here.
a dance shown by a ghost of a man who used to be
and you summoned that naked spirit long enough to pull my will into an aggressive addiction.
those love flecks stil sparkle in my forgiving smile
but I no longer know the boundaries
between the world of your ghosts
and the world of your new man.

"two hearts will build the foundation for one point of light
a duet done with passion"

The heart of you

There is a great difference between never being here and being always in the heart.  For the heart speaks in truth, and not in false.

Thank you.

between the world of your ghosts
and the world of your new man.

Geez Jen........this hits home.  It's like the Jekyle/Hide syndrome.  Well done hon.

Jennifer, I loved the way you put those jealous feelings into poetry. I've had a lot of those jealous feelings towards my Gary. I imagine he wishes that I would put more of them into poetry, too. Thanks for sharing your poetry with us.

You conjure new ghosts
out of lover's flecks.

Smoky as the rain.

"but I no longer know the boundaries

The whole poem speaks volumes to me and I especially love the image of "flecks" but the words I quoted above are what ring so true... (given my own personal situation, that is )     Beautifully done, my ever tempting one
