Melodreaming

I've lent a helping hand or two
no asking in return
but wonder I, where I need go
when fears are my concern.

I've always thought that you'd be there
like magic, smiles betray
the inner brewing, visions of
the words that none can say.

I've exhaled thoughts so randomly,
invisable my feel,
wherein there lies a calm before
that storming becomes real.

Analyze me all you want
there will be no success,
for only I can master mind
and flame my happiness.

I press those walls, so paper thin,
dance naked for no one.
I battle pleasure with my pain
and melodream 'til done.

Exaggerate my characters,
conflict them as in real.
I've inhaled sensing what I wish
until that calm, I feel.

My Spring becomes my Summer
and my Summer into Fall.
My colored world is changing,
I am trapped behind its wall.

I separate my missing from
my having, into truth
as seasons switch, and find the path
in state of mind, my youth

Where smiles became me, pure in deed,
where rewrites needn't pen.
Yesterdays bring me to stall
where memories rise, back when.

I press those walls, so paper thin,
dance naked for no one.
I battle pleasure with my pain
and melodream 'til done...

my friend I like this one a great deal. Still I find it a sad thing so many of us will as you put it dance naked for no one. We do indeed keep oursleves clothed and protected... perhaps hearing only the music in our heads...

an older one, but one that fits I think how many feel about your words...and if no one is there, we are at least here...

Whose words now dance
To the rhythm of passing days
And jump in syncopated rhyme
within this mind of haze

Whose words now run
In abandoned fields of time
And walk among the ruins
Of memories sublime.

Whose words now sleep
In beds of passion made
And caress the tender places
That none of us would trade

Whose words now linger
In the essence of who I am
And permeate the core
Of every lonely man

Yours

What a beautifully written piece, Maureen. Wonderful flow and phrasing throughout, and it creates such a soothing state ... I loved this.

Best wishes,
/Kit

very lovely  C...

Whose thoughts run wild
many times off the page
wanting to share in life's triumphs...
that is I

Whose thoughts turn to the past
so as not to dwell
in the present's disappointments...
that is I

Whose thoughts wish to settle
into anothers mind
to fill it with a share of loving...
that is I

Whose words in days end
reach out to no one,
and are put to rest for another day...
that is I

what is mine

Thank you Kit...some say I have a style all my own when it flows naturally..this was one of those, I think its been awhile since I have written in this rhythm. And don't worry about any sadness...many times my poems are mistaken as being sad when really all I am doing is putting my past into perspective so I can have that future I wish to have...(if you can understand that

what is mine

Yours is at times I am sure not abundantly obvious to you. We all suffer from that.

Yours is the grace
that in pages turned
unfold chapters learned
enriching those that know you
by having tasted yesterdays
felt tomorrows coming wish
understand today's needs
a bit better themselves

Yours is a touch
perhaps only by passing eye
that comforted
held warm when all else was cold
and the world seemed not
a place to stay
but one to flee

Yours is a blessing to us
Yours is to struggle
lonely at times
lost others

just as is ours
