Between the Lines

In Between

I cherish the moments, those in my hold
framed in my mind, some treasured like gold,
though recent of memories have claimed me now cold
as I sift through and separate, the scatterings' unfold.

I cherished those moments that brought us to be,
held on as if dancing in slow memory
forgotten by him, long agos he set free
as I think on those days when I loved all of he.

I cherish the tender of a hand brushing mine
I miss the emotions in silent design.
I have asked all the questions, no answers define
in between now, I sacrifice, my love's in decline.

So what of those moments, those cherished of two
Torn now, a heart in remembrance of you.

M,
And as one lets go you have a hand to offer the future. Well done write. Your writing fascinates me. Peace.

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Nancy, I was in a contemplative mood the other day...thinking about what was and what won't be any longer.

Bill, yes I know that you know where I am coming from and I appreciate your thoughtful comments

Larry, I am not sure about what fascinates you, but I am glad you stop by to read...thank you

Maureen~
This is such a sad, yet beautiful write.
I felt the emotion as I read.
Very nicely done, my friend.
Hugs,

thanks Vicky..I went to a class reunion and I guess back in October I was thinking about my past, the years together and how it would be to go alone to the next reunion in November....which I did, it was fun, although everyone asked about him... I survived it all

Gotta say this is this the best on I've read so far.  Eloquent, perfectly rhthymic, original rhymes...awesome and beautiful, and I can't see any room for improvement.

Maureen, this is a beautiful poem, even though it is sad.
BTW, I'm glad that I read your reply to Vicky, and that you had
a good time at your reunion. Thanks for sharing your fine poetry, friend :squeezw:

Sometimes we must see clearly where we've been before we can know where we want to go--enjoyed!!
