Ring on the Sill
By Larry Chadwick

I saw your ring on the sill,
And it put a smile on my face.
For I knew without a doubt,
That it was in a special place.

For many years I have known,
That our love is always true.
And your ring reminds me,
That you know it too.

So I smile as I reflect,
On why your ring is on the sill.
How sweet to consider,
Our love is that strong still.

So I’ll join you here,
And help you with these chores.
But give me just a second.
As I put my ring next to yours.

October 16, 2002

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

Very heartfelt, Larry, romantic.

The stars will shine when I am gone,
the earth will turn on as before,
the gulls, still race along the shore,
the morning star, still kiss the dawn

You are a man who not only sees with his eyes, you see with your heart. This poem is so romantic and tender and.....This is love in one of its purest forms. God bless you both!

I am picturing your rings side by side on the window sill---just as you and your wife will walk through life---side by side.

Lovely, Larry. Simply lovely.

Larry, this is so beautiful and touching. Lots of us women take our rings off and put them on the window sill while washing dishes or other chores because the water may make them come off. We don't want to lose our precious rings!! I liked the way you put yours beside hers, too. thanks for sharing.
Love To All,
Ethel
