Near golden sunsets

I glanced at my wristwatch for the third time that minute.
What could be keeping her?
Something I'd said the night before?
Did I let something slip at the office?

And her eyes found me across the café.
Those eyes that danced into my mind,
Caught me, kept me for their own.

The waitress disappeared as Hannah passed;
Tables faded from my attention.
The café became a blur,
With Hannah the sharp focus at the center.
My pulse quickened, each beat bringing her closer.

A newly noticed music drew my ear.
I dared the question, "Do you dance?"
Her eyes flashed green challenging fire.
Maybe she'll dance tonight.
Either way, she'll surely keep me up.

Well..seems you have begun to tell your own set of stories here... I enjoyed both and hope you continue the series... I for one am hooked now and need to know..what happens next, how does this evolve.

Good stuff here MI. If it took you all night as you remarked in the challenge thread..all I can say is it was well worth the effort!!!

Bravo!!!!

Looks as though I may have missed the first part of this work.
I'll look for it. At any rate, I enjoyed the read and will
be watching for more ....
