'Deer Mr. BugMan

'Deer Mr. BugMan, where have you been?
I called you long ago.
And asked you to come visit me
and tell these bugs where to go

But it's been well over a year
and still no sign of you
If you don't come and save me,
there's no telling what I'll do

Now, balladeer, I understand
that you enjoy these roaches
But you can rest assured
as soon as one of them approaches

I'm gonna turn my tail and run
to grab the nearest shoe
He'll never know what hit him,
nope he wouldn't have a clue

Now, usually I'm not the type
to let an insect bug me
But those big suckers fly so fast,
and they're so stinkin' ugly

They hold meetings in the bathroom
in the middle of the night
And if I happen in on them
they're ready for a fight

So, come be my Sir Galahad
I'll be your maiden fair
Rescue me from roaches, sir,
I'll follow you anywhere

Rest assured your job
will always be secure with me
If you'll just come to Phoenix, 'deer,
and promptly set me free

Come on now, I'm waiting
and they're rounding up the troops
They've gathered in the living room -
divided into groups

I think they know you're coming
and the old ones tell a story
Of the brave exterminator
and his rise to fame and glory

Tales of mass roach killings
are told both far and near
Causing them to shiver -
filling tiny hearts with fear

So hurry, sir I'm getting scared -
there's evil in their eyes
You wouldn't want to have
a great big roach be my demise!

~vlraynes

"...until you have read the verse on his heart,
you have not truly met the poet.

Oh how well I remember the critters of the desert. It's why I had to leave, AZ just wasn't big enough for me and all them bugs.

Vicky my dear friend
You're calling Deer and off he went
I hope he's heading your way fast
To get you rescued there at last

So glad to see you again with this wonderful poem.

Hi Vicky

You gave me a chuckle with this one...I wrote a similar plea for help a couple of years ago...but the deer only made me smile...as do you.

Now THIS is the scariest poem I've ever read!
---but I can't believe you actually had me laughing over something so overwhelmingly heebeegeeable as a roach infestation. Amazing! hehe haha ooo ooo eeek eeek aw aw !

Deer will ride in to save the day. I know he will. He would never leave a damsel in distress!

P.S. Those roaches can't get to me through my monitor----can they?!? Just in case, I'm going to check out another poem and disconnect from this one!
hehe

Vicky, Vicky, Vicky *shaking my head sadly* - Don't you know that 'Deer always leaves a couple of them critters behind?  It makes for a consistent customer list - lol.  This poem is written very well.  Great job.  It made me laugh a lot.

WHen you're alone and there are bugs you can phone
The only man who cares..
BUGMAN!!

When critters scurry there is no need to worry
Call and I'll be there..
BUGMAN!!

Just one small kiss from your sweet lips
Propels me into action
One small hug and those poor bugs
Will all wind up in traction..
How can you lose?

So, baby, I'll see you there.
We'll catch those bugs while they're sleeping..
They'll be unaware....
of the BUGMAN!!!
Watch how they fall..
I'm the BUGMAN!!
I'll get them all...
Call your BUGMAN!!
I am here waiting for you!!

Ick!  I hate bugs, anything but bugs but I loved your poem, but I hope I don't have nightmares LOL and I am serious Vicky!

Let there be peace on earth, and let it begin with me.
