An unwilling soul chosen for war,
holds steel gripped through death and gore,
A spark of love that keeps him sane,
and denies the fate of an early grave

To call his quest his only place,
condems humanity and all our race,
For in his soul, stirs emotion and love,
unnecessarily soiled by unwanted blood

If cause is great then question this,
what crime deserves a bullets kiss?
History repeats,or so they say,
but fate decrees the end someday,

So do we follow this fated path?
or stop to think and honour the past.

BRAVO!!! That is a very good question, and I believe it is a little bit of both; we should honor parts of our past so we know where we are coming from but then we must look ahead and learn from our mistakes the second time around! This is a powerful debut, sweet friend, I LOVE IT!!! Welcome to Passions, sweet friend, may you be inspired by all of us here as we will all be inspired by your lovely words! I can't wait to read more of your lovely words, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet friend, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
Noah Eaton

Parker, think of it as your board also.  We're very pleased to have you as one of our newest members.  Write on!

Parker, Welcome to Passions!  I know several poets, myself included, who will be looking for your style of writing!  I hope you find Passions to be the poet's home you've been searching for!

Greetings and welcome.

Really liked this:

"If cause is great then question this,

History repeats, or so they say,
but fate decrees the end someday"
Powerful imagery. Looking for more.

Sincerely,
