I try hard to remember,though I can't recall.
No one ever explained it,they never tried at all.
I never knew what it was, about the man upstairs.
I had alot of questions, and it seemed nobody cared.

I went about my life, putting those questions on a shelf.
If it wasn't so important, why should I care myself?
I could never comprehend, the words written in his book.
So I never picked it up,to have a second look.

I figured out myself, and looking at my life.
I thought he was the one,who caused me all the strife.
Why should I trust him now,and give to him my heart?
He doesn't love me now,and didn't from the start.

Then you came into my life, and explained it all to me.
My eyes you've helped to open,I'm starting now to see.
I watch you live your life, and I know that he's with you.
And everything you tell me,I know will be the truth.

I trust you to tell me,the right things I should do.
You are an inspiration, and I look up to you.
I will listen to what you tell me,and do the best I can.
I'll try and comprehend, what's so hard to understand.

This was written for 2 of the greatest friends anyone could have,Marcia and Pam.They have taken much of their valuable time to spend with me to help me get through some rough times and to share the bible with me.Maybe someday I'll be able to get it through my thick head.If not, it's not because they didn't try.   I love them very much.

I loved your poem and the thoughts behind it. I hope, though, that you don't get your eyes more on the one who is telling you, instead of the one who told that person, also. I know from experience that people, in all our human ways, fail each other...but God never fails us. Thank you for sharing your heart, and    WELCOME  to this great big  "FAMILY  OF  FRIENDS".  You sound like you have a very kind heart, so I'm sure that you will get the warm welcome here that I have gotten. I hope to read more of your work.
Love To All,
Ethel.......garysgirl
