somebody's dungeon

I'm waiting for the snow to fall
for the flakes to flutter down
when the world is all but covered
as the snow falls to the ground.

I'm waiting for the cold north wind
to blow across the lake
bringing old man winter
upon my land to stay.

I'm waiting for the time
when near the fire with my love
I'll sit and sip hot cocoa
as we softly cuddle up.

We'll read each other stories
laugh till our sides hurt
The mood will slip to amorous
of course, that's why I flirt.

As the snow falls outside
we'll be warm within our love
so I'm waiting for the snow
to come falling from above.

Vintage WhiteRose
(yep, it's more old stuff)

Isn't that the best thing about winter? The closeness it brings.A wonderful poem, while I wait for my winter to come.

I'm waiting for the Winter to start,
The sooner the better for me.
Because the sooner we get over it,
The happier I will be.

I hate those cold blasts of wind
That cut me to the core.
I hate the necessity of replacing screens
For storm windows and doors.

So will you please put out a sign
That says, "Winter is welcome here."
Perhaps Old Man Winter will get the hint,
And not make my life so drear.

Other than that, I love your poem

(smiles) Yay!!! Ooohhhhhhhh...you look so good in vintage too, sweet friend, I love these days so very much and may you share many cocoa-sipping, snow-angel making days with your loved ones this winter! (kiss on cheek) This is delightful, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,
