somebody's dungeon

I never noticed this before
the fan's always been whirring away
but because it's cold here in the south
the fans aren't on today

The computer is making an awful noise
darn thing is loud you see
this noise is disconcerting
and it's really bugging me.

Having been plagued with tinnitus
for so long now the ringing's fine
but I don't want to listen to
this darn machine sit here and whine.

You'd think with new technology
that they have floating around out there
they'd know of a way to make quiet
this itty bitty rush of air.

That little fan inside the machine
that's cooling all that stuff,
It's terrible I tell ya
and I've simply had enough.

I'd take the blasted thing apart
make the fan just stop right now
but I think overheated memory
is something I don't need right now.

Well not from the computer anyway,
for burnt memory's what "I've" got today.

Silly WhiteRose

At least you can hear, right?!

Ooooh ... be careful what you wish for ...~
While at the Villa in Tampa ... we poets overheated mine ... and the fan STOPPED~
Fortunately for me ... my son is the computer techie ... so when I returned home he was able to install another fan !

A cute frustrating write this is !

I know whereof you speak!---and you speaketh it so well!

Marge is so lucky to have a computer techie for a son! From now on, I don't care what zodiacal sign a man is, it is of the utmost importance to me that he knows computers! hehe

~ May our computers be forever trouble free!~

Vas, glad you enjoyed my silly this morning.

Thanks for reading Marge, OUCH, good thing you had someone who could fix that for you.
Linda,

My younger brother, the cpu_guru in the family, (literally that's his email, he can be arrogant at times)will come over if I call and fix whatever problem I am having. Ya know, I have noticed something as of late though, he has caller ID now and he doesn't answer his phone much anymore. I can't understand why

Well, I'm a fan and I'll never burn out, although I might need some maintenance once in awhile - heh!  Neat poem.
