A chill creeps my floor,
But it’s been here times before,
I’ll stay in bed snug,
The wood needs it warming rug
That I put away
On a late spring sunny day
When thoughts of winter,
No longer did they enter
And warm was the room
Which saw the flowers in bloom,
Outside my window
Where soon will be fallen snow.
The sun rises soon
To warm the floor of the room,
But by then I’ll go,
Walking off with chilly toe,
Tomorrow I’ll rug the floor.

those last two lines gave me a smile, hehe

Whether on the shoal or on the shore,
I'll seek the lighthouse evermore.

Thank you, VAS,
Pleased you could get a smile and enjoyment from my words

Thank you, WhiteRose,
Glad you liked, but there is something to be said for the cool floor,
Starts the waking process at the instant the toes touch.

You know something Professor?--You are a very talented poet!

I must admit, that I do prefer reading these poems over your gloomy ones, but even those I can appreciate!

Thank you, Earth Angel,
For your kind praise,
But I just look through the dictionary
And rearrange a few of the words
Scattering them on these electronic pages.

The will rise up soon

this line above needs a fixin'

I love the refreshing chill of the fall mornings...but do wish I had my heated waterbed back.
As Always,
