Long ago I met this lady,
She was such a wild heart,
Didn’t want to be tamed, couldn’t be shamed,
She was tearing my defenses apart,
I realized soon that I loved her,
But I wondered if she felt as true,
So when the timing was right
I asked her one winter night
Asked her how she knew
When she had fallen in love,
and quiet as the falling snow,
She whispered soft, “I always know –

I’m falling when I’m flying
Like I’m glidin through the sky
When lovin feels like leavin
Leavin all my life behind,
When little things don’t matter
When these feet can’t touch the ground,
When my heart hurts with love,
At the beauty that I’ve found,
I know - when falling feels like flying

How high we soared for a time,
With nothing to hold us down,
Higher and higher, fueled by desire,
In our passion we nearly drowned,
Gasping for air, clawing at life,
Our hunger never waned,
Crazy in love, we were reckless,
Who knew we were falling all along,
I asked how love was supposed to go,
And when I asked, she said you’ll know,

When fallin feels like flyin
Like you’re glidin through the sky
When lovin feels like leavin
Leavin all your life behind,
When little things don’t matter
When your feet can’t touch the ground,
When your heart hurts with love,
At the beauty you have found,
And then I knew - cause falling felt like flying.

I barely breathed as I read this beautiful poem on being in love. Oh, I do hope that you will fly again. A heart such as yours deserves to be loved, as you are so obviously capable of loving.

This is a love song immemorial. A song that speaks loudly of love found, love lost and love remembered always. I LOVED IT.

Awesome line and seems like a good phrase for a challenge. Just a thought.
