Eyes glisten and love songs echo through my mind. My heart aches with longing to touch you, to but lightly caress your face. Tranquility and a state of rapture envelop me when you are near. I inhale your presence and an aliveness sparks such deep desires. So painful for me you share your love with another. Though it's breaking my heart, I will not divulge the depth of my secret yearning and, never will you know how desperately I want you. ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |

the-loner-23, glad you like it a lot. Linda, I felt quite moved when I wrote it. Trust me, I never looked into his eyes for I would have melted into a pool of love, before him. Warm Hugs. Seymour, thanks for responding, I am in love with every poet in here including Tiersdon, until I discoverd by chance, she is a woman! Almost fell off my chair, laughing at myself, and at that revelation. Everything I write is revealing because I have felt "it all", that, which I have written. I believe poetry is universal and timeless. I wrote this in 1981 and the man is still happily married as far as I know. Mostly, I am very glad you found it enjoyable. I do too. You still inspire me intensely and I have such a large dental bill, he trying to get my foot out of my mouth! Now, I have to read you and NOT respond so quickly. You are an absolute love and we all adore you. I love 'feeling poems' of mine and others and I really don't wear my heart on my sleeve, except for maybe that: Toerag, for I am definitely in love with his laughter. I wish I could get more response from Icing On The Cake, for that is the love of my life... Thank you, Warmly, Pat ..without surrender, be on good terms with all persons.. |
