Autumn is the time of earth,
Quiet and friendly brown,
Soft somber smiled
Tweedy and dead weedy

Winter is the snow sometimes
Many clothes
Many fires
Many briskities

Summer is the time of Sun
High skyed and handsome
Bare-chested funny business

Spring is the time of love
Old snow and new grass
A time to wake up and look around
A time of sudden beauty

Fantastic! You don't waste one word.
The word you used which I like the most is Tweedy, in Autumn....
that is brilliant....

Enjoyed this much.
Thanks,
Pat

Good morning, Toe!

You surprised me with this poetic side of you this fine fall day!

I love how you couldn't resist that little bit of toerag wit, "Tweedy and dead weedy"--that was so delightfully funny mixed in with words of such import!

Mix 'em up and keep us guessin'!!!
Who is the real Toe? I'm enjoying trying to figure this one out! Makes life, and you, even more interesting! tehe

Linda

I love all seasons in their own special way.

Today rainy Autumn storms are raging 'round here, but I'm sitting warm next to my woodstove.

Love your description of the seasons Toe

So...in other words. You're saying Toe is in season year round!

If tears could build a stairway and memories a lane, I'd walk right up to heaven and bring you home again.

You know the seasons where I live are hot and wet, hot and dry, suffocatingly hot, and not quite so hot. *G* But this takes my mind to places where fall and spring last longer than a week... and I do so love the visit! *S*

The images are beautiful, sweets... with Toe-smiles mixed in for pure delight. *S* I love it! *S*

I always liked the Four Seasons but I thought singing "Walk Like a Man" in a falsetto voice was a little strange

Well, well, Mr. Toe.....you really do have a serious side. I like it, too, dear friend. I wasn't surprised, though, to see just a wee bit of humor. This was a very nice poem. There's something I love in all four seasons. Thanks for sharing with us.

Oh man - Toerag's gone soft (well, when wasn't he?)  A nice poem, with no cuts or barbs about that rascally Balladeer.  What's next?  A sweet poem about lovable kitties?  *gag*
