In the mid of life things appear different.
A subtle change of thought process
and all is captured in a frayed
array, edges torn with age, display,
that is a jagged story.

I've yet been able to fit together
the pieces, of love, of loss
guilt enormous, all unique of line
unable to combine
aline
so late in life the portrait
a mockery. Abstraction of self.

(sigh) Oh Anne, that is typical, sweet friend, for many it takes a whole lifetime to learn of these things, but you are a wonderful person and I know soon you will uncover the most magical inner-peace and understanding of all! (kiss on cheek) This is excellent, sweet friend, we all love you so much! You have such a beautiful heart, sweet Anne, thank you for sharing!

May love and light always shine upon you!

Love,

Well, according to your poetry the portrait is not a mockery.
Life is like a tapestery and ever so often we get pulled up to the top to see just how beautiful a creation is being woven, we being a part of it.

I liked this.
Warmly,

Well, isn't this the truth! Very well put...I like it very much.

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. Midlife is like a having a fault line running right through the middle of ya, every once in a while quakes just happen.
