Goblin Town

I was standing at the corner
across the street from a small town grave
The living left it long ago
before the goblins came

Strong winds were picking up with gust
The clouds spelled out "you sin"
My skin began to crawl with fear
and then I was sucked in

I felt my body moving
over pavement, dirt and stones
It happened all so very fast
I was shaking in my bones

There was no way of knowing
what was yet still to come
I felt my mouth start moving
as my nerves became undone

I closed my eyes while praying
Before I never cared
It's amazing what you'll believe in
when you are really scared

Just when I thought it was over
and I would be the town's new guest
I felt a hand upon my shoulder
and my heart popped from my chest

No winds or chill around me
No darkened skies or trees
The only thing I saw right then
was you upon your knees

You told me how you loved me
and feared that I was dead
Your eyes were wet and swollen
from the tears that you had shed

It seems a gust of wind did blow
and hurled a garbage can
When you turned to talk to me
I laid spawled upon the sand

Well, so much for ghosts and goblins
and all those witches brews
You're the one I want to live with
There' no one other that I'd choose

I praise the days I'm given
and that you are by my side
Yes, I know that I am lucky
and for this alone I cried..

Hee, Hee, I'm glad they didn't get me. Funny though, every now and then they try. I wear Ghost Buster deodorant. It helps

You wear Ghostbuster deodorant? Where can I get me some of that stuff! I need more than a wing and a prayer with some of those scary creatures on the prowl!
