Flicker, flicker, do not snicker
for the brew is boiling this night.
Bicker, bicker, can not pick her
out of the gloom on moonless night.

Cackle, cackle, raising the hackle
of the nape in chilling of back.
Crackle, crackle, do not unshackle
for the damsel now tied this rack.

Glimmer, glimmer, now in shimmer
are the bright orbs of flaming red.
Simmer, simmer, boiling warmer
a witch’s stew, of bubbling dread.

Flying, flying, not ever denying
as the bones do clack and clink.
Crying, crying, screaming, sighing
as from demons we do now shrink.

Bubble, bubble, strew the rubble
of the earth, don’t leave but a pile.
Trouble, trouble, once now double
the curse of dead, who do not smile.

Chanting, chanting, ever are ranting
that the Een will Hallow and stray.
Stamping, scamping, we are tramping
down the lane, shooing ghosts away.
