This love we have is wondrous, strange and rare dear
Matched by the beating of my fearful heart
All my thoughts and prayers are re-arranged here
And I have lost ere I began to start

You caught me in the shadows of my life here
Didn't know just what I wanted where or when
You clasped the corners of my bleeding heart dear
And taught me this is now and that was then

I hurried to the future willing, blindly
Held in lock the secrets of my heart
Wishing for a kindred soul more kindly
But I have lost ere I began to start

I find emotions mulling in my mind dear
To sort the feelings raised from way back when
Yet echoes of the past, base and unkind here
Remind me this is now and that was then

The promised hope has shattered all my feelings
We'd lost the game ere it began to start
For time and tide of love has left me reeling
Now and then the same within my broken heart.

Here in the midst of my lonely abyss, a single joy I find...your presence in my mind.  Unknown

Keth beloved heart when I get home to my trusty computer I shall reply properly but for now I'll just say this is utterly utterly utterly wonderful. NOW that is what I call exquisite writing

Love and warm stuff
as always
Slushy
Huge hugs

and I'm missing you already and you haven't gone yet.

an aside to Kit, I need a smilie that waves goodbye with tears falling constantly

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire

Keth, this is just a beautiful poem my friend.
Still I wished you would have been some kind of plant
Then I would have taken home some seeds you know
I would have loved it to see our friendship grow

Have a safe trip home

Kethry...A beautiful; yet mournful tone to this poem. You allow us to feel your brokenness, your heartbreak with words that only a true poet could use.  ***Ivy rose

Great writing, Keth! It's good when you find someone that put the heartaches in the past and show you that better days are here....nicely said

Yes Keth...we must always remember the past
when it wasn't ....that we might have a
future that is....is what we want it to be..

Nicely done...

To all my friends,
thank you for responding, this was a rare muse that came when I was having fun in Florida. Now that I am safely home I will probably write more - but not yet I wish to savour the memories first.

Now how on earth did I miss this? *S* This having no energy schtuff is interfering with my poetry reading! *S*

And this is beautiful, Keth... I like it very much. *S*

suthern,
this was one of the Florida ones, not connected to the poets meet. So you may have been ill, or anything. Thanks to passing shadows for lifting this.

Keth beloved heart and painter of wisdom’s beauty, now it is time to reply properly, once more your writing is simply stunning. Your ability to speak with powerful persuasion with words dipped in poet’s translucent thought is so beautifully displayed here. Always you uncover the thought, and shading it in the perfect hue you frame it and then hang it high for us all to see.

In the who of you I see
Wisdom that reflects what will be
In life’s knowledge you’ve walked far
And you know all of what you are
Looking in the soul of this
I’m reading the intended kiss
The touch of truth that fills me
With your hope and your poetry
On your journey into sighs
Lift my soul into your dream’s skies
Let me listen to your soul
Learn what it is that made you whole
Touch the thought as it forms there
Believe in trust and learn to share

Truly superb writing, you know that your writing fills me with awe, always your writing is awesome, and this is utterly utterly perfect. I went looking and see what I found……… I shall hunt some more out

Love and warm stuff
As always
Slushy

Breathe through the heat of our desire
Thy coolness and they balm
Let sense be dumb let flesh retire
Speak through the earthquake wind and fire
