Gifting Of This Life
~*Margaret Diana Cowart Tindal*~

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
~*~~*~
So fair and lovely, this child-bride
Jack said, "Beverly, I'll keep you by my side."

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
~*~~*~
So handsome was he, that she could not resist
Beverly replied, "Okay, Jack, if you insist."

~*~

Bare ends met ... in a house filled with love
After first-born son ... this daughter came along~

From this wondrous plant-of-birth
came this child of October mirth
Cradled in a dresser drawer
as the times back then were very hard
Subsequent years gave this family three more
another brother and two sisters to adore
Each of us so blessed to be
united in this family~

On this eve of my birth-of-day
I'll simply take a moment to say
Lord, please tell Mother and Daddy
"I wouldn't have had it any other way."

All the love that you both gave
reaches far beyond the grave
I thank you both for this *gift* of my life~

~Dedicated to the loving memory of my parents,
Beverly W. Drury Cowart & Mitchell C. 'Jack' Cowart

OH Marge, this is so touching. You are so fortunate to have had so much love in your family and it shows through in your poetry and certainly in this very lovely tribute. The poorest of times are usually the richest.
Happy Birthday, my dear friend
Huge hugs

DearestFriends~
Thank you all for your lovely messages, cards and thoughts~
This little piece of my heart is kinda special to me and I am thankful that I have the opportunity to share it with you~

I had a wonderful birth-of-day !!

Ya' know ... my friend, June, summed it up quite nicely for me when she wrote -
quote:
it does not matter all the things you may not have had in growing up. Your parents, like my Mother, made the most out of the least to give you more of what you didn't have...and taught you that their Love, along with many other non-material things, was free.
Yes, that says it exactly~
Love n' hugs~

For a very important date
Tis just my fate,
Hope it was great!
Happy Birthday to YOU!!!!

In giving you the gift of life, your parents gave us all a special lady with incredible talents... and gave me a very dear friend. *S* I thank them... and love you. *S*

Marge~
I'm sure they already know.
This is such a tender and touching tribute
to your parents on the eve of 'your' day.
I'm typing with a lump in my throat.
I'm sorry I missed your birthday this year.
Seems I'm missing a lot of things lately.
I hope it was a good one, though.
Love and hugs,
~Vicky
