It's funny..
two seperate situations,
mutated into the same problem

You have been here for years,
consistently strong
Never has there been a point,
where it was about you
Long hours were worked,
not a complaint uttered
Now this plague is upon you,
I can't say it enough..
I appreciate you

And you..
Only for an instance,
but a flash I enjoyed
You buried your head,
under my arms that night
(I'm not sure if I'm ready yet)
But like the other,
I relish every second
Just in case there is a time,
that I can't tell you

It goes unsaid..
but that is the beautiful thing
As long as we know it

I really enjoyed this poem. I found it to be unique and creative and most importantly honest. It's important to appreciate the ones we love, whatever our relationship to them may be.
Excellent write.

As long as its known...

...the appreciation there, then its not a chore. Then its nothing lost.

Sometimes I forget though. And I wish he'd say something...

and sometimes I wish for silence.

Wonderful poem.
