You will never know passion
until you look in those eyes
entangled with pain for so long
Yet continuing to smile
you will never know fear
until you live a day in her life
lulabying her children to sleep
muting the sounds of gunshots in the night
you will never know anger
until youve lived in this land
where the fury can devour you
with out the guidance in her hands
you will never know poetry
until you hear her speak
even in her silence
the truth, she breathes
You will never know beauty
until you know of this
in this land of War
where only ugliness exists
she is the hope in a young childs eyes
she is the sunset on a bright morning sky
she is the flower hidden beneath the rubble
she is the symbol of all pain and struggles
her beauty knows no boundarys
and will never cease
she is the mother, the wife
the lover of peace

I really like that. I can't quite say why. I think there is a hidden message in that poem that we can all learn from.
