Lost and Broken

0 posted 2003-08-11 10:57 PM

Water trickles down the back of my neck,
Only there is no rain.
Red tears flow freely from my heart,
Only there is no pain.
Everything outside is so incredibly dreary,
Only the sky is a luminous blue.
I'm completely surrounded by so many people,
Only I'm alone because I'm without you.
There are so many places left to run,
Only no where left to hide.
There are so many people that I can talk to,
Only I don't know what I'm feeling inside.
I only wish I knew how to smile,
Without remembering all the pain.
I wish that I could dwell in the warm sun,
But I still only feel the rain.

hmmm...there were some good lines in here. A little cliche at parts, but none the less a good piece with obvious emotion that flowed clear.

mmm..don't I know the feeling...sigh...very emotional I will agree a little cliche in parts but the best of us do that from time to time and I have no gripes or complaints about any of it except perhaps that there wasn't more, lovely piece

I decided to read one last poem before signing off tonight... and this was it. I'm glad I chose this one... it's absolutely incredible. Going in my library for sure.

As said before I could certainly feel the emotion. If that was your goal you more then accomplished it.
