**What About me** Now that you're gone, just a memory in my head, I cant stop thinking about the things I never said, For now I can only dream that you could ever read my mind, And maybe understand, all we ever needed was time... Whenever you look at her, do you ever miss my face? Inseperable, we were Best friends, now she takes my place, Do you remember how we were, how off-beat things used to be? And how we knew we'd never give up and how you'd always love me... But Your doing great, and it seems you found your way, Is everything perfect now? Is this where you want to stay? Are you happy with this life you've found, do you have any regrets? Why can't I let go like you have, It's so easy for you to forget... Does she know how you told me I was everything you want? But that was never good enough, is she everything I'm not? It was always wrong with us, but thats what made it feel so right, We always found our way back home we always used to try... Do you ever think of me? Does she love you like I can? Do you hold her the same way, do you ever miss my hand? Everything seems so perfect now, what did I never do? How come you found your happiness after I lost myself within you...? Time stands still and I'm torn apart from what I've done, Brought you closer to the end, I hate who I helped you become, I was only the rough draft to this beautiful mistake, What you never knew, was something I helped create... Satisfaction to watch your demise, in spite with everything I say, Hoped to bring you misery, I only helped you along the way, Pushing together something that was never meant to be, She was there to pick up the pieces that broke away from me... Misery loves company and I'm left here all alone, A fake smile and a lie to myself are the only things I know, Moving on, only to cover up, but I havn't gone anywhere, Why can't I seem to let go, Why can't I just not care...? Will I ever get over something, thats already gone so far away? Left me alone with what I can't forget, and what I'll never say, There was always something missing, is she something I cant be, Well you got what you've always wanted, but what about me...? |

My favorite stanza, This was a very true emotional write, well atleast I think it's true, I know it's true for some of us. Nice work ~*~Karen~*~ |
