Etched in the illusion of time

0 posted 2003-08-05 05:10 PM

silence

'tis the symphony of my soul
that binds me to nature

lain delicately 'cross the hillside
in my mind
I often dream of fragranced nights
touched ever so sweetly
by the silken fingers of my lullaby weaver

it is so easy to get lost
when trying to remember
everything

effortlessly
I get high from inhaling the scent of heaven
your aroma
traces of its subtlety
just lingering in the air

to imagine you beside me
the tall grass encircling a love so grand
is pure simplicity and bliss

but you've only faded
once I turned my eyes towards the east
watching
as the sun flecked gold through shades of milky brown
and your eyes did the same
before I forgot you

dwelling in Elysium
is now the artistic venture of my idealistic soul
feeding my muse each memory
as I absently weave crowns from
dying clovers
hands so pallid 'gainst the lushness of the field

our field

silence

'tis the symphony of my inspirations
'round and 'round
a tastelessly simple melody
composed of whispers

but flavored by the summer wind

and so solitude's descant is played
echoing o'er the meadows
as my own requiem, I softly hum

For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.--"Romeo and Juliet"

flavored by the summer wind. Wow, this is just beautiful. You are a poet, not just someone who writes poetry. I felt this...amazing.
