Reading through old love letters,
A certain one catches my eye.
Curious, I open it
And at that moment
I regret ever doing so.

Emotions overflow my mind
Making me wonder all the “What Ifs”
As I read each line
Of the poem you wrote me
So very long ago.

The words speak true of love and desire,
A passion too wild to tame.
Frivolous love making
In the darkness of night.
Young lovers in their own nirvana.

When finally I reach the end,
Tears slowly blur my eyes.
For I have never forgotten you
Or the way we once were...
You were my first love. *

You know what the scary part of this is? I just did this yesterday. I'm moving all my stuff into a new room and I came across a letter that my first love had written to me just becuase he was thinking about me and wanted to say I love you. I barely made it to the end before I cried. So this piece defintly brought tears to my eyes, well done, full of emotion and a nice write

i enjoyed reading this piece, it had a lot to say. life will get better over time that is something to count on but you have to be prepared for those times that things turn the other way. well good luck and keep writing

when you live you begin to die
when you die memories of you life lives in others
when memories of you begin to fade
you truly begin to die
