On the brink of madness
I sit in quiet acquiescence
Watching the sun fade to red
A confused wind
Blows against my body
Trying, perhaps, to blow away the tarnish
But this blind fury cannot be erased
It lingers upon my soul
With undying devotion
Waiting for an outlet to my mind
I seek reprieve from it’s hunger
Devouring my spirit
Sick of this tension
Weighing upon my shoulders
I must find the entity
To take away the rage
Before it consumes me
And spills forth to the world
But how to stop the waves of this entrapment?
And the chaos of the question
Is nothing to the silence of the answer
The decimating illusion
From which I flee,
Running to a void of nothingness
Where my mind can float
Upon the ripples down the river forever free
From this lunatic torment
Until it becomes non-existent
Then I may seek peace
There, where my essence is safely spent

The problem with resisting temptation is you never know if you'll get the chance again

I'm tired and can't think of any big or fancy words, so i'll just say that its a GREAT poem hun!  I swear if I could only read one authors writing's it would be your poetry!  You really have a gift sweetie. Cherish it and never stop writing.  For two reasons, 1. Your writing ROCKS! and 2. I wouldn't have anything to read...  Lots of love!  Your honey bear!
