Laying in bed, for hours upon end,
Swimming in her own heartbreak,
Mascara lines running down her cheek,
Usually at this time hair would be washed,
The same hair he ran his gentle fingers through,
Gloss would be applied to the thick lips,
That once held his sweet, not so innocent kiss,
Tight Jeans would hug her waist tightly,
Like his strong arms used to embrace
Get up; it’s a brand new day,
Wipe the mascara off your face.
