I'm holding onto you
figuritively.
Wishing,
literally.
Pointlessly.

With hands too weak to support you.
Rusted and decaying.
I've worked too hard to hold on.
A sense of realization flows through me.
No matter how I try I can't release you from my gentle grasp.
My pitiful attempt to tell you something,
I'm inacpable of by words.

I posses you.
I'm breaking into minute pieces..
and as I die you die as well.
Ashes to ashes.
No fire ever burnt here.
We know better.
Just a wish.
Holding onto something that was honestly
nothing.

Where am I walking to?
Everything is becomming much too blurry.
And painfully familiar.
These are words I've heard before, read before said before...

The tears that fall taste the same.
I'm living of of them, off of this nothingness.
I'm barely moving, and they are passing me quickly now.
Because I'm still trying, to hold onto you, my hands are still open to you.
As if I didn't notice you left long before.
With the crowd.

I'm still reaching, but my fingers are rusted over,
unable to get a solid grip.
I'm too weak to support you.
Leave me to this, if you will.
Lost in this repition.
Everythings been said before.

This was fantastic...I especially loved the third stanza, it was so poetic and loaded with amazing imagery.

Well done!

wow, someone being in love with the way I mindless throw words together and stupidly call it poetry, now that is utterly amazing to me.

. I'm glad, thank you so much. I really like this piece as well, it has some very special meanings.

It does happen doesn't it? The Feeling that no matter what; we just can't grip it. The person is gone and we will die trying to hold on to what may not have existed in years... slowly rusting over. Touching.And thanx
