Standing In Silence...

0 posted 2003-07-17 12:05 PM

Unable to sleep
She walks through the night
Seing all the things
That hide in the day

Undefined destination
Hoping to find an answer
To a question she
Isn't even sure of yet

A lit cigarette in hand
She walks along a path
Usually taken by those
Who know where they're going

But she finds the night comforting...
    So she walks on...

If You Wanna See A Rainbow, You've Gotta Live Through The Rain. And If You Wanna See Through Love, You've Gotta Live Through The Pain.

Is this about me? I could relate to everything you said in this piece. You stated it very well. Loved it.

It's a very good poem and I would almost think it's me except I don't smoke.

This is a wonderful peace, grinder. One of the best I've read from you. Perhaps it's because I relate, being a "NightCrawler" myself, or perhaps it's because I enjoy the style with which you wrote the poem itself. It has a nice length, good flow, nice feel. Splendid job, sg.

Dude, I thought this would be about X-Men! Ah well. Like the others replying, I can identify. Nice social observation.
