Etched in the illusion of time

0 posted 2003-06-30 10:17 PM

As long as there is morning,
I will know your love

To wake up,
And see simply, three words
Positioned hastily, yet thoughtfully
On the refrigerator's even face
It is enough

Even if you use plastic letters to spell out your love
In mismatched blues and reds
Simply
It is enough

And I know you couldn't ask for more
If only I added one word
To that declaration of emotion
Magnetic frenzy smoothed by my steady hands
Measured breaths
Precious sighs

I stand back and smile to myself,
Thinking as I read.
"I love you too."

For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.--"Romeo and Juliet"

Very soothing poem. Refreshing. Sweet.
I really really love this one.
Another for my library.
Thank you for sharing!

Hmm...I really liked this. I've never really read anything like it before. This was a very interesting style to write your poem in...and I think it fits perfectly. Very nice job! I'm definitely going to be looking for more of your poetry.

Sweet is definitely the right word for this one...creative idea yet it's strong point is it's simplicity and innocence. Excellenet job.
