Etched in the illusion of time

0 posted 2003-06-25 08:40 AM

Through my eyes, I can see disparity,
The broken yearnings of mysteries divine.
Hopeless souls-
Together we lived in a paradox.
Stories of mercy were twined into my dreams...
I am still weeping.
Tears of midnight ink fall across my ashen face.
Every word I ever spoke,
Destroyed;
And somehow I still live contented,
Counting the dandelions in sun-kissed fields.
Alone there,
I will make my calling,
Wading knee-deep in your poetic memory.
How poignantly bittersweet its stanzas taste,
Like the darkness,
Deliciously heavy with star-crossed wishes.
Not a finger can trace these sighs,
Bled from invisibility onto paper fine.
One breath,
Sweet one-
Your kiss was my ambrosia,
Condemning me to live in this immortal reverie,
Dyed with the black essence of purely fated time.

For saints have hands that pilgrims' hands do touch,
And palm to palm is holy palmers' kiss.--"Romeo and Juliet"

Hey there! This is my first time reading your poetry (I think). I am pleased with what I found. Your writing has a nice flow to it. Keep it up. Have a spiffy day!

Absolutly devine...wow there is just nothing more I can say than that...This piece was just simply masterful, soothingly beautiful and longingly sweet. There is not a single thing that I don't like or would change in the least..the whole thing is just...amazing
