I.

Silver spoons
And crescent moons
Floating in the sky.

I wondered how,
I wondered why
A silly cow could fly.

And,"Hey there, sir."
With chilly brrs
He turned around to see.

"Moo." He cried,
And then I sighed
When snowflies came to me

II.

I killed a fly
With something dry
And momma said to me

"You gotta try
To touch the sky
And sail seven seas."

I cried and sighed
When ole Fly died
And watched with humble glee

When momma said
"What's in your head
You silly, little bee?"

III.

He broke the sound
With forty pounds
And fifty cents of liquor.

He smelled of rye
And when I cried
He started feeling sicker.

"Sor" he said
And went to bed
While I stood there in silence

But now he lies
In muddy pies
While we pay him our penance.

IV.

Button nose
And cotton toes
Wrapped beside a mug
Of cocoa trees
And honey bees
While looking very smug.
"Why the grin?"
I said to him
And he looked up at me.
"Nothing much."
He said, and touched
My mug filled high with tea.

V.

Apples in an orchard tree
Climbed up my branch to stare at me
And taunted taste buds with a crunch
Of apple spice and morning brunch.

I wasn't sure where I wanted to post this...actually, I wasn't going to. But meh...
Working on illustrations for some of them. Hopefully, by the end of this year, they'll be done (unless I have no life. Then they'll be done by the end of this summer.   ) This is really a collection of 10 poems. I only posted 5 because I thought it'd be a turn off to read all 10 in one sitting. I hope I didn't kill you all.

Hope everyone is having a good week!

-Leah

I'd post 'em separately -- each is worth its own space in the forum, and also when more than one poem is put in a single post, yer head tries to combine 'em, link 'em in some way...so I'd put 'em up one or two a day for a week, if I were you.

This was A-Maz-Ing! Nothing else to say. It was probably the best stuff I've read in... well... I don't know how long.

You did great,
And have a great mind,

Ratleader- Thanks for the advice. I'll probably post them every two to three days, depending on how busy I am.

Darkness- Thank you for the compliment, though I'm sure you're going to find something much better to read in the coming days.

Skyfire- Glad you enjoyed 'em. I personally like I and IV best, myself.

LOSTinTHISworld- I probably will post them separately. ^^ Thanks for stopping by!

LOL...made me laugh.  I think my fave poem of all time is the Jabberwokee ( I can't spell it).  It reminds me of that poem abit.  Maybe it's just the nonsense part of it.  Thanks for bringing some humour into my day.  U really made me smile.

I asked God how much he loved me...
He said this much...
And streched out his arms and Died.

Well, since I haven't been here in awhile, and was reading from top-to-bottom, I'm reading them in backwards order.

But I love 'em, girl... awesomeness.
