You’re my father forever, my protector everlasting My light to the future, giving up everything You always wanted what was best for me You tried your most to be all you could be On this special day, set out just for you So much appreciation in all that you do With your love close by, I can concur all You’ll be there to catch me if I begin to fall You push me to achieve my highest expectations I look at you with the highest admiration You were always so proud of me, of the person I became Never thinking for a moment, there was reason to feel shame My happiness in mind, you gave up all you had You’re my trust in life, my extraordinary dad For the last eighteen years, you’ve been so good to me Helping me, building me, setting me free You’re my guiding light, and helping hand With you by my side, alone I’ll never stand For all this I thank you, and have one last thing to say I’ll love you forever, Happy Fathers Day!! **It's better to be hated for who you are, than loved for who you are not** |
