All these things I wish I could say, Why did you have to leave?
All those times to hesitate, to let go of what I believe,
The minute I lost faith, how fast you were gone,
Please know I never gave up, I was right there with you all along...

Even when you didn't know, I was standing by your side,
Every tear, a part of me, was with you when you cried,
When you hurt, your deepest pain links your heart to mine,
With every thought I have of you, comfort is what I find...

I only hoped that you could ever feel the same way that I did,
What you ever meant to me, why I found it in me to forgive,
I just wanted to mean something, I'll never be good enough for you,
Its easier to pretend to forget your face, but why would I ever want to?

It only hurts when I think of you, You left the memories for me,
I wonder if you share them too, or did you set them free?
It hurts to fall asleep not knowing if you care,
Dreaming of you, only to wake up knowing your not there...

Did you ever notice I was gone, or is it nothing new?
Did you ever look to find the one you never payed attention to?
Because "I Love you" is not enough, those words I guess you didn't hear,
Did it not mean anything coming from me, now the one to disappear...

An unfinished story to be left untold, forgotton and put away,
Along with all the memories, he never remembered anyways,
So it goes unsaid about a broken girl, forgotton and put to sleep,
Where it only hurts when pictures of him, haunt her in her dreams....

Trying to think of a word that can describe what I just read...  The feeling that this poem left me with is incrediable!  It was weird, as I began reading it I felt like I wanted to stop, like it was bad...  But this overwhelming feeling kept me wanting to read the next word and then I found myself without anymore to read...  I only wish that it was longer so i could have read more.  Keep up the Spiff-Tacular work!!!

Work like you don't need the moeny, dance like no one is watching, Sing like your all alone, and love like you've never been hurt.

Alison, even thought this is a very sad poem to me, it is also a beautiful one. You are a very talented writer and I certainly enjoyed reading this poem.

This is the most beautiful poem I've ever read. I can relate to this so well at this time in my life. I can't believe how much that hit home. You did a wonderful job on this poem...don't change a thing! Keep writing and keep posting...I love forward to reading more of your work. Beautiful job, beautiful.

I could have penned this myslef! Oh you sweet wonderful girl, I'm sorry that you had to live through this pain of heartache. I know the feelings that you have described well and my heart goes out to you. The poem was lovely, something taken straight from the soul and put on paper, flawless in it's emotions.
