Lost and Broken

0 posted 2003-06-06 10:08 AM

Every time I turn around,
There's always an empty face.
Deafening silence is the only sound,
That fills this demeaning space.

No one to wipeaway my tears,
Or to comfort all my sorrow.
Nothing left to calm my fears,
Only the heartache of tomorrow.

I feel as if I'm walking,
Through a ficticious maze.
I think I hear someone talking,
While drifting in and out of this daze.

Suddenly I awake,
To the darkness of my room.
All the pain I try to forsake,
Leads to the fake comfort I try to consume.

Wanting desperately to fall back to sleep,
No longer continuing to be this alive.
Unfortunately this pain's gone too deep,
There's no relief waiting for me to arrive.

As I smile at everyone else, I'm dying inside... ~Me

Hmm. *looks closer* Hmm.

What's scary... is it reminds me too much of me.

Good job... I haven't read much of your poetry... but I like this. It's very basic rhyme and rhythm and all that stuff... but the theme and the story is awesome. And that's actually my favorite format to write in... even though I'm forcing myself to break out of that habit because I'm starting to bore myself.

ANYWAY... I'll be looking for more.

It is truely a piece of art.  I don't have the words to express the emotions that I was left with after I read it.  Im definatly going to read more of your work.

Awesome job!

Work like you don't need the moeny, dance like no one is watching, and love like you've never been hurt.
