Hi all,
This is a first draft, Lyricly, of a song I'm working on...Please share your thoughts or not, you decide...

Best Wishes,

Brian.

"The Man's A Wreck"
(31/05/03)

Verse
Sad tear's streaming from a bitter mans eye,
He brushes them from his eyesock in sigh.
While sitting on a bench soaked in decline,
So afraid to show his battle scar lines.
He pulls a bend cigarette from his pants,
Then tries to light it with cold shaky hands.
I won't say he's addicted to the booze,
But soberhood's a fight he's bound to lose.

Refrain
Because The Man's A Wreck
Searching For Miracles,
But He Won't Leave His Post
Garding All Things Awefull.
You See The Man's A Wreck
'Cause His Map's Upside Down,
He Walks The Wrong Way Now
He'll Never Come To Town.
Because The Man's A Wreck,
Heaven Won't Bounce His Check.

Verse
He used to have a strong beautiful wife,
Everything was going well in his life.
'Till she caught him red handed in their bed,
With a girl by the name of Juliet.
And she left him with his new naked toy,
Now she have found herself another boy.
Was a fool for making her disappear,
Now he's living in dispair with great fear.

Refrain
Because The Man's A Wreck
Searching For Miracles,
But He Won't Leave His Post
Garding All Things Awefull.
You See The Man's A Wreck
'Cause His Map's Upside Down,
He Walks The Wrong Way Now
He'll Never Come To Town.
Because The Man's A Wreck,
Heaven Won't Bounce His Check.

Bridge
He quit smoking, he quit drinking,
Trying hard to get back on track.
Now more fighting, no more drowning,
Threw all the bad things in a sack.
Though he works hard he knows,
There's a long way to go...

Refrain
Because The Man's A Wreck
Searching For Miracles,
But He Won't Leave His Post
Garding All Things Awefull.
You See The Man's A Wreck
'Cause His Map's Upside Down,
He Walks The Wrong Way Now
He'll Never Come To Town.
Because The Man's A Wreck,
Heaven Won't Bounce His Check.

Tag
He took off time to re-arrange,
He' not the same, the wreck has changed.
For he has learned to take and give,
The man's become all possitive...

I like this....positive endings are always a pleasure in this fight of life. Good luck with the song writing, the lyrics are great.
