i sit alone on the moonlit sea
the velvet sky watches over me
reflective waters splash beneath my feet
the beach sinks where the sand and waters meet
your final words echo in my head
i still cant believe what you said
my heart is heavy and my mind is numb
as the crickets begin their chilling hum
i sit so still as the waters churn
i watch intensely as my world burns
the waters are silent, murky, and deep
willows bend twist and weep
but i have hope all is not lost
name the price i'll pay the cost
i sit alone on the moonlit sea
the velvet sky watches over me
reflective waters splash beneath my feet
the shoreline sinks where the sand and waters meet
i wish i could be with you again
maybe this time we'll survive throughout the end
though hope is frail i'll never run out
it's you im waiting for, without a doubt
