The tears well up behind my eyes,
they threaten to sing the saddest lullaby.
It somehow lures me to sleep,
the intricate composition of my tears is mind baffling.
And I fall into utter exhaustion,
A blank and lonely place.
impossibly insane are the thoughts hiding beneathe my unconscious mind.
The unknown desire, the unwanted memory.
Almost more excuciating than reality.
In the face of this all,
I move on, and learn to breath under the thick layers of water, attempting to sufficate me.

hmmm, I'm thinking this is about someone crying themself to sleep, and collasping under ultimate emotional and physical exhastuation, and then being haunted by nightmares, but the last line suggests a bit of hope.
thanks for reading..
I really appreciate it.

This just might be one of my favorites of yours!
*sigh* I just love it, and I understood it's meaning. Thank you for sharing.
And I think we can conclude that anyone at piptalk is addicted to poetry lol!

This is one of the best poems I've read in a long time!! I can really relate to this. At times, whenever you just feel like everything is weighing you down, and you're "suffocating" it's nice to write and have that release. Very nice job!

As I smile at everyone else, I'm dying inside... ~Me
